The NEAA is one of the fastest growing industry clusters in the UK and the largest in automotive. We are an industry-led automotive cluster, established to support the economic sustainable growth and competitiveness of the automotive sector in the North East of England.

We have a proven track record in helping our members make valuable business connections, whilst also supporting collaborative opportunities and the coordination of industry-led activities. We have nurtured a network of like-minded businesses who take a collaborative approach to improving the region’s global competitiveness by sharing best practice, solving common problems, and driving innovation.

If you supply into, or want to supply into, the Automotive sector, then you can be a member of the NEAA.

As a proactive industry-led cluster group, we are here to represent and work on behalf of the whole North East automotive sector, whether a company is making cars or components, working in commercial, off-highway or developing technologies for electrification.

The NEAA is a not-for-profit organisation limited by guarantee and membership is restricted to companies and not personal membership.

Fees start from as little as £220 +VAT per annum and are based on the number of UK employees.

No. All members of the NEAA receive the same level of service and the same benefits package.

Yes. Upon joining the NEAA you pay a full year’s membership (12 months). Your membership will automatically renew in line with your joining period and your invoice will be issued prior to the new membership year commencing.

If for any reason you wish to cancel your NEAA membership, we would welcome a discussion first to see if there is any way we can help you maximise your membership further. If you still wish to cancel, and we know there lots of reasons why this can come up, then you must cancel your membership in writing prior to the start of your membership renewal. Membership cannot be cancelled part way through a membership period and refunds cannot be issued.

Upon joining you will be allocated an Account Manager as your main point of contact for all membership advice and business development support. We will engage with you to discuss how we can support your business and where you can maximise your membership of the NEAA.

Your joining email will highlight information on who your Account Manager is, where to keep up to date with the latest news and events from the NEAA and it will also highlight a range of free marketing support services that are available to help put your company in front of the network. This includes a ½ page editorial in the NEAA’s quarterly NEtwork magazine, along with a company profile in the members directory and the e-newsletter.

It goes without saying, the more engaged members are, the more value that can be realised. Your NEAA membership is company-wide, so to ensure you are fully maximising this, please ensure your teams are aware of the benefits that are available to them. We often find that different functions are most suited to some areas of membership, whilst others can maximise other benefits, and together you manage to cover more ground and gain better exposure.
