As an NEAA member, you will be allocated an Account Manager as your main point of contact for all membership advice and business development support.

We will engage with you to discuss how we can support your business and where you can maximise your membership of the NEAA. We will keep you up to date with the latest news and events from the Automotive sector and can also provide support to help raise your profile in the industry.

Your Account Manager will facilitate industry introductions and will signpost you to wider support programmes and networks as required.

Whilst most of our events are free of charge to members, there are times when events come with a fee due to the nature or scale of the event. NEAA members will always receive preferential rates to attend these kind of flagship events.

We work on behalf of our members to deliver a structured voice for the North East Automotive sector. The NEAA also benefits from strategic direction from an engaged Board, who are a network of industry leaders driving our strategy.

We are the industry-led Automotive cluster that speaks for the whole sector in the region, delivering information to wider stakeholders, lobbying industry needs, impacting, and influencing Government policies, publicising regional capability, and providing a gateway to industry bodies and expertise.

Our aim is to strengthen the long-term economic sustainable growth of the region’s Automotive sector by working closely with companies across the region to understand and support issues that affect your business.

The NEAA sits on over 17 industry steering groups including the Automotive Council’s Skills, Supply Chain and Regional Engagement groups, the BEIS Supply Chain Expert Group, the board of the European Automotive Cluster Network, plus representation on a number of sub-groups, the NELEP Business Growth Board, Skills Advisory Panel and Provider Network, TVCA Skills for Growth Board and the NE Made Smarter Adoption Programme Board.

We work with and support Government Departments and Agencies, Universities, local Councils, Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs), Combined Authorities, relevant trade organisations including the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), the Advanced of Manufacturing Forum (AMF), North East of England Chamber of Commerce, the Engineering & Manufacturing Network, NOF, NEPIC and RTC North. Our aim is to provide benefit of our members, SMEs and the wider community as we strengthen the network and promote the region’s capabilities.
