Newcastle-based marketing company Horizonworks is supporting its strategic growth with two internal promotions and the creation of a new role.
Horizonworks is gearing up to aggressively move forward with their business strategy in 2018 and the recent internal changes reinforces the company’s ambition to scale up through strengthening its infrastructure and resources.
Emma Parker and Antonia Edwards have been promoted to operations director and account director respectively, while Jen Dugdale has moved into a new role as marketing and business development manager.
Emma Parker, originally joined the firm in 2016 as finance manager and was appointed operations director to support the delivery of the business strategy and help shape the business as it continues to grow. An Associate Member of the Institute of Financial Services (AIFS) qualified banking professional, Emma has over 15 years’ experience working with small to medium sized businesses across the North East, primarily in her role in business and corporate banking with HSBC.
She said: “This is an exciting time for Horizonworks and I believe my skillset from working in a number of operational roles throughout my career will be valuable in delivering the future business strategy from overseeing finance, human resources and internal systems to operations and overall office management.
I am keen to drive forward the operational changes required to ensure we continue to provide clients with a quality, professional and efficient service.”
In 2017 the client delivery team has strengthened considerably with new appointments including client marketing managers and executives. The expansion of the team created an opportunity for internal growth with an additional account director’s role.
Recognised at a strategic level and with natural flare for marketing impressing both the team and clients alike, Antonia Edwards was offered the position of account director. Antonia said: “To have been given the opportunity to develop my career further at a forward-thinking company such as Horizonworks is a privilege. At Horizonworks we pride ourselves on being a trusted partner – so building long standing relationships, understanding businesses and the sectors they operate in, coupled with delivering quality is critical to our clients’ experience.”
A key member of the team since 2011, Jen Dugdale has moved into a new position as marketing and business development manager. She commented: “For me personally, it’s been fantastic to see how the company, team and clients have grown together over the past 6 years. I previously worked in the client delivery team, but this new role has been created in line with my return from maternity leave. My in-depth knowledge of Horizonworks and the sectors we specialise in, means the role lends itself perfectly and provides an exciting opportunity to help drive the business forward with Samantha.”
Horizonworks’ managing director Samantha Davidson is committed to nurturing talent to enable people to grow within themselves, and with the company. She comments: “At Horizonworks we are building a company that individuals can join and grow within. We strongly believe in rewarding people who are passionate, work incredibly hard and want to be part of our journey. These internal changes run in line with other exciting developments in the business including working with a number of new clients and winning our first US client, AmeriWater, who is a leading provider of water treatment equipment. As a business, 2017 has been a fantastic year and we are looking forward to the next chapter!”
