Samuel Phillips Law launches new litigation and dispute resolution team

A new litigation and dispute resolution team has been created at Newcastle-based Samuel Phillips Law. The team, led by Claire Farrell, has recruited Adam Chaffer, with plans to grow further this year.

The new focus on litigation and dispute resolution at Samuel Phillips will enable regional clients to make use of the new Business and Property Court in Newcastle. T

he opening of the court means that the region’s businesses no longer have to travel to Leeds or London to have their cases determined.

Farrell joined Samuel Phillips Law having previously worked as head of fraud in a Legal 500 firm. She said: "We have intentionally positioned our team to be the firm of choice for clients seeking to resolve their business and property disputes in Newcastle and the wider North East region.

"We are building a strong portfolio of business clients including many well-established enterprises across the region. Our partnership approach with clients means there is a real trust built between us, which helps to create best possible results."

Robert Gibson, senior partner at Samuel Phillips Law, added: "The launch of the litigation and dispute resolution team reflects our commitment to be a full-service law firm. Both Claire and Adam have worked hard to deliver on their new business plan which will benefit both our clients and the region going forwards."
