The Mexico event will be the fourth time that TR has exhibited at an Automechanika show, following its three consecutive appearances at Automechanika Birmingham at the NEC. It’s the first time TR has exhibited at the show.
Automechanika Mexico City continues to be Mexico and Central America's most important automotive trade show. Held annually, the event draws thousands of attendees in the automotive industry every year. With exhibitors including key domestic and international manufacturers as exhibitors, the show provides a dedicated platform for sourcing domestic and international products and suppliers across the automotive market.
In addition to the thousands of products, services and resources available on the exhibition hall floor, this event offers valuable education and training, business solutions, networking events and more. TR, a Trifast Plc company, is a full service provider (FSP) to the automotive industry, manufacturing, supplying and providing technical and logistical support to the Tier 1 market.
TR’s global reach now extends to 31 sites including 8 manufacturing facilities, a number of which are accredited to TS 16949. Globally, TR produces more than 60 billion components annually to over 6,000 customers. TR’s involvement in the Mexico City show was partly instigated by its involvement in the very successful trade mission to Mexico in 2017, organised by Santander.
During this visit, TR representatives attended the Automechanika Mexico exhibition and were encouraged by the show’s set-up and the number and quality of attendees from across the American automotive market. With a growing presence in Houston, Texas, including a new warehouse facility, TR was keen to exhibit at the Mexico City show to meet with Central American customers and showcase its full service capabilities in the automotive sector.
TR is showcasing its full range of automotive fastener products at the show, as well as highlighting its capability of supplying from stock many of the components that are used in the manufacture of charging units, batteries and motors for Electric Vehicles (EVs).
Chris Black, Group Automotive Director, comments: “As our capabilities and facilities in Houston continue to grow and our global network expands, we are well positioned to support customers in the fast-evolving automotive landscape in Mexico and the surrounding regions.
“TR's qualified engineers and sales staff are on hand at Automechanika Mexico City to advise designers, production and purchasing teams, encouraging them to bring their fastener application issues to us so we can offer solutions.”
