North East automotive cluster plans outward trade mission to South East America

Regional automotive cluster, the North East Automotive Alliance (NEAA), will host an outward trade mission to South East America in March in conjunction with the Department for International Trade and transatlantic legal firm, Womble Bond Dickinson.

The South East America region is home to four Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and over 900 automotive suppliers, and is recognised as a market of huge potential, with significant opportunities for the global automotive supply chain.

New technology focused on zero carbon, such as electrification and hydrogen, would be very welcome to the mission, as would battery recycling plants. Tennesse is rated number one in South East America for electric vehicle manufacturing. The region is wanting to generate more business and investment, posing a real prospect for scaling NEAA member companies looking to expand into new territories.

The trade mission will arrive in Atlanta and will travel to Chatanooga, Tennesse and Memphis. During the week, businesses will have the chance to hear about the opportunities available in South East America, directly from Chambers of Commerce, UK based companies in the area and international and local automotive companies. It will provide inward investment support and key networking opportunities to enable growth. There will be the opportunity to see automotive best practice and some of the latest innovations that are being brought to manufacturing lines.

This mission is ideal for all businesses who are eager to explore opportunities in South East America.
