In 2024, the British Gear Association (BGA) were excited to fund a Research Project on “Non-Involute Gear Testing.” This initiative, launched by BGA member Dontyne Gears, attracted considerable attention when presented at the GEARS 2024 conference. Feedback from delegates showed there was desire for a deeper exploration of the project and results.
The British Gear Association are delighted to partner with BGA Member Transmission Dynamics to host a joint Technical Awareness Day (TAD) at their state of the art facilities in Cramlington on 9th April 2024.

The Annual Technical Awareness Event (GEARS) is the leading conference for the Gear Industry in the UK and this long running seminar is considered an essential event for manufacturers, distributors and academics involved in the UK Gears Industry.
The British Gear Association were proud to host a Virtual Member Focus Session with longstanding BGA Member Lloyds Register on Failure Investigation on 18th September.
At this Member Focus Session Dr Maryam Bonyadi will be introducing Lloyd’s Register (LR) and an overview of the services they provide. This session will specifically include information on LR’s Technical and Failure Investigation Department, its team, locations, and some of their capabilities with two failure investigation case studies discussed.
