The grant advisory team at Clive Owen has secured more than £25m of grant funding for its clients in what is a record first half.
Led by partner Carl Wright and manager Eleanor Kay, the firm has supported more than 50 businesses across the UK to access grant funding over the last six months, ranging from £40,000 to multi-million-pound awards.
The supported organisations range from regional SMEs through to some of the world’s biggest businesses and most respected research institutions.
Founded in 1983, Clive Owen has offices in Darlington, Durham, York, Middlesbrough and Newcastle and a workforce in the region of 150 colleagues.
Carl Wright, grants advisory partner at Clive Owen LLP, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have started 2025 so successfully. Our team has worked on some very exciting projects, and it is rewarding to help make these happen by securing the grant funding that is essential to enabling organisations to progress with their plans and ideas.
“It has been a challenging time for business over the past twelve months and we have huge admiration for the entrepreneurial spirit and determination of these clients to press forward with their plans despite significant headwinds.”
Eleanor Kay, grants manager at Clive Owen LLP, added: “We are proud to have helped businesses access substantial grant funding over the last six months. The impact these funds will have is significant for not only these organisations, but the wider communities in which they operate due to the vast number of new jobs that will be created.”
