Masfix, a trusted partner in fasteners, tools, and industrial supply, has officially opened a new 5,000 sq ft facility at Aycliffe Business Park—home to some of the UK’s leading automotive and advanced manufacturing operations.
The £150,000 investment marks a strategic expansion to better serve manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, and MRO teams across County Durham and beyond. With over £1 million in stock now held across two sites—Newburn and Aycliffe—Masfix is positioned to meet the demands of high-volume, precision-driven industries like automotive.
“Our automotive clients require fast turnaround, zero downtime, and seamless supply chain support,” said Ian Mordue, Director and Co-Owner. “With this new location, we can deliver exactly that—closer, faster, and more efficiently than ever.”
Stocked daily from the company’s Newburn HQ, the Aycliffe site gives customers local access to more than 30,000 products, including critical fasteners, fixings, engineered parts, tooling, and PPE.
But Masfix isn’t just about supply—it’s about smart supply.
Their vendor-managed inventory (VMI) system is built for production environments, with on-site vending solutions that automatically track usage and trigger restocks in real time. It’s a proven system already supporting automotive plants with reduced downtime and tighter procurement control.
“Automotive manufacturers can’t afford delays,” added Sales Director Richard Ward. “Our VMI technology puts the parts and tools you need right on the line, exactly when they’re needed.”
The new Aycliffe team is led by local account manager Rebecca Head, providing industry-specific support with deep knowledge of the North East’s automotive ecosystem.
