Following expansion into the UK, JATCO Ltd, has established a presence in Sunderland. With a focus on innovation, quality, and sustainability, JATCO UK is committed to excellence and will be a driving force in the development of environmentally friendly automotive solutions. The company forms a central part of Sunderland’s £1bn EV36Zero partnership, an electric vehicle hub supporting the next generation of EV production and accelerating the UK’s transition to net zero carbon mobility.

Situated on the International Advanced Manufacturing Park, Sunderland, the factory will produce electrified powertrains. Initially, this will be the 3-in-1, which modularises and integrates the motor, inverter and reducer, making them smaller and lighter. The 138,840 sq. ft facility will create up to 183 highly skilled jobs and hopes to reach a production capacity of 340,000 units.
