According to recent figures released by the FSB, one in ten businesses (8%) say late payment is now threatening the viability of their business whilst research undertaken by industry body R3 showed that almost 670,000 North East companies had unpaid invoices on their books, and more than 38,000 regional businesses had overdue bills.
It is important for businesses keep a finger on the pulse of late payments and creating a strategy to deal with them can help businesses avoid lost income and misspent days, whilst maintaining positive relationships with customers and clients.
