Hear from our host Nissan, whose Sunderland Plant is one of the UK’s largest car manufacturers and one of the North East’s biggest employers with over 6,000 staff. With a 40-year history in the North East of England, the plant has built over 11.5 million cars since the first Bluebird rolled off the line in 1986 and is the fastest UK car manufacturer to meet this milestone. The plant is now home to a fully electrified lineup of the Qashqai e-Power and Juke Hybrid, and the all-new LEAF.
