Equity, Diversity and Inclusion is not just about checking boxes. It is about recognising that difference is a good thing and taking active steps to ensure your organisation is inclusive of and welcoming to all. ED&I has been talked about in businesses for the past 50 years – so why are businesses still not representative of their communities and more expert at it?
Join Square One Law on May 18th at the Catalyst, Newcastle, for an exciting conference aimed at senior HR professionals and business leaders. Our keynote speaker, Joanne Lockwood, an inclusion and belonging specialist, will explore the strategies used to improve organisational performance whilst achieving true equity, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
In addition, there will be three breakout sessions to choose from which will be hosted by:
- Dr Lucy Reynolds, We Are All Disabled.
- Deborah McKenna, HR Manager at Prima Cheese (winner of NEECC Diversity and Inclusion Award 2022).
- Dr Nicola Patterson and Dr Amy Stabler both inclusion and leadership specialists at Newcastle University.
The conference will conclude with our panel discussion which features a diverse group of experts, including Nicolina Andall (Solicitor, NED and D&I Advocate), Michael Nicholas MBE (Diversity & Inclusion Manager at Northumbrian Water) and Brenda McLeish OBE (CEO of Learning Curve Group).
Our conference will move beyond ‘box checking’ and emphasize the importance of actions and accountability, driving metrics and measurements to understand the progress of change, the foundation of representation being trust, the importance of accessible and inclusive recruitment techniques, and recognizing that inclusive leaders and positive culture are the foundations on which to build.
Tickets are priced at £120+VAT and places are limited. Secure your place today by clicking the link provided.
