The Tees Valley is part of the UK’s largest automotive cluster based in the North East of England which is home to Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK and 3 of the top 5 UK Off-Highway Manufacturers. Cummins Engines, Nifco, Elring Klinger and Caterpillar are just some of the key automotive manufacturing employers already located here.
The Tees Valley’s world class infrastructure, processing expertise and skills base is attracting strong investor interest across the battery materials value chain. Furthermore, hydrogen transport demonstration projects, alongside hydrogen modular refueling stations to support training and skills are also in place in the Tees Valley, with a strong pipeline of green hydrogen production projects already planned to invest here.
There are a range of automotive supply chain opportunities to be found across the existing and emerging drive train technologies and new fuels, and the Tees Valley Supply Chain Programme can help you explore these further at this key event.
