Primary Engineer is a purpose driven organisation that brings engineering into classrooms across the UK.
They connect engineering and technology professionals with schools so they can provide a real-world link to engineering, helping to break stereotypes and expand pupil understanding of what an engineer is and the opportunities and possibilities within industry.
The work they do with partners contributes towards social mobility, STEM engagement and helps develop a future, diverse generation of engineering and technology professionals.
The Primary Engineer Vehicle Programme provides meaningful links between engineering, technology and education through training primary school teachers. This enables them to deliver an engineering project in the classroom, with pupils building two vehicle models while working alongside engineers.
Two teachers from each participating school receive a full days training, enough kit for 60 pupils working in pairs and a full set of curriculum mapped resources.
