Accountancy firm Clive Owen has relocated its Newcastle team to an office in the heart of the city centre.
The team is now based in Gainsborough House on Grey Street, marking the next stage in the growth of its fifth office, which was launched in October 2024 at The Spire on Pilgrim Street.
Since opening in Newcastle with a single member of staff, the office has rapidly expanded to a team of 13, reflecting increasing demand for the firm’s services across the region and its long-term commitment to the city.
The move to Grey Street provides Clive Owen LLP with a larger, more prominent base in one of Newcastle’s most recognised commercial locations.
The Newcastle office is led by Stephen Harris and supported by a strong senior team, including recently promoted partner Chris Tindle, VAT partner Hydeam Sulton, and Suzanne Layfield, whose arrival has further strengthened the firm’s audit capabilities.
Liz Rothery and Brad Haywood complete the leadership team. Together they provide a full accountancy and advisory service including audit, corporate tax, private client tax, consulting, VAT, accounts and corporate finance.
Stephen Harris said: “Our growth in Newcastle has exceeded expectations since opening in 2024. What started with a skeleton team has quickly developed into a strong and ambitious office serving clients across the region.
“The move to Grey Street is a significant milestone for the firm and a clear statement of intent. Newcastle is an important business hub, and we are committed to continuing to invest in the city, our people, and the services we provide.”
Simon Hook, managing partner at Clive Owen LLP, added: “Newcastle has been a fantastic success story for the firm in a relatively short period of time. The growth of the team demonstrates both the strength of the market and the calibre of the people we have in place there.
“This investment reflects our confidence in the North East economy and our ambition to continue building a strong presence in Newcastle. Having a senior team based in the city gives us an excellent platform for further growth and enables us to offer an even broader range of specialist expertise to clients across the region.”
