The Government has now published the Eligibility Checker and Business Guidance for the British Industrial Competitiveness Scheme (BICS), which aims to reduce electricity costs for eligible manufacturers. Applications open 1 October 2026 and close 30 November 2026.
BICS could provide eligible manufacturers with up to 25% off electricity bills, helping improve competitiveness and support investment across UK industry. The Government has also launched an online eligibility checker to help businesses assess whether they may qualify before applying.
