Cummins appoints new European Vice President for off-highway

Cummins has announced the appointment of Antonio Leitao as new Vice President Off-Highway Engine Business.  He will continue with his leadership of Cummins’ European Business.

As off-highway leader, Antonio Leitao will drive the Engine Business’ global strategy, product planning and customer relationships for Cummins’ $2 billion off-highway market, as well as leading strategic work for all business operations in Europe.  He will report to Srikanth Padmanabhan, Vice President and President, Cummins Engine Business.

The Cummins off-highway business serves agriculture, construction and other industrial segments. Total production volumes across off-highway reached over 270,000 engines in 2021.

Antonio Leitao, newly appointed Vice President of Cummins Off-Highway Engine Business & European Area Business Organisation, said: “In taking on this new challenge, I’m hoping to build on the strong customer relationships I’ve maintained throughout my career, to continue to expand our off-highway opportunities, which is especially critical during this time of industry transformation.  I’m looking forward to continuing the fantastic work Cummins has conducted in the off-highway sector.”

Leitao is replacing former-Vice President Off-Highway Business, Alexey Ustinov, who will now serve as Vice President of Electrolyzers, leading innovation and growth in Cummins hydrogen technologies. Ustinov joined Cummins in 1994 as an engineer. Since then, he has served in a variety of roles, including responsibility for Cummins Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) business, as well as Cummins’ distribution business in Europe, Middle East, China and India.
