NEAA Member Pegasus Materials Handling Upgrades its Quality Management System with the Support of Fellow Member Absolute Quality Consultancy & Training.

Pegasus Materials Handling is a leading provider of material handling equipment in the North East and supplies an extensive range of new and used forklift trucks for purchase and hire to the manufacturing, logistics and building sectors. Pegasus has always had the highest quality standards in place to provide customer satisfaction and enable it to compete with its international competitors. However, it recongises it must continue to ensure it has systems and processes in place that can react to changes that naturally occur in an ever-changing political and commercial environment. With this in mind, Pegasus appointed management systems and training specialists, Absolute Quality Consultacy & Training (AQCT), to support the upgrade of its quality management system to ISO 9001:2015.

AQCT took an in-depth look at the business and created a range of systems, from updating job descriptions and policies to streamlining its processes, while meeting the criteria of the standards. Pegasus is now able to share the workload across the business allowing it to spread its wings and explore further business development opportunities. The certification demonstrates that Pegasus is continually monitoring and managing risks across its whole business and that its staff have a clear understanding of their roles and the expected quality of their work.
