An industrial building in Sunderland, which spans nearly 100,000 sq ft, has been sold in “one of the largest transactions of 2024 so far”.
Avison Young, acting jointly with Naylors Gavin Black on behalf of Threadneedle Portfolio Services, secured the sale of Unit 8 at West Quay Court on Hylton Riverside Business Park.
Shalam Packaging has purchased the freehold property, which includes offices and staff facilities as well as secure yard areas on the business park, and spans 99,049 sq ft.
Danny Cramman, director at Avison Young, said: “This was a great instruction to be involved with, the sale will see the property brought back into use as a manufacturing facility creating high quality employment opportunities in the area.”
