Snorkel, a leader in powered access equipment, proudly announces its membership with Made in Britain. This aligns with Snorkel’s commitment to quality British manufacturing and sustainable growth.
David Graham, General Manager of Snorkel Europe, said: “We are delighted that our products can now carry the Made in Britain marque.
“Snorkel has been producing access platforms from this facility for almost two decades, shipping products made here to the UK, Europe and beyond. Many UK and European rental customers still like to buy British as they know the machines come with local product support direct from the factory.”
Located in North East England, an area steeped in manufacturing history, Snorkel has been building from its UK site since 2006. The facility includes fabrication, a semi-automated powder coat facility, assembly lines, and testing facilities, ensuring its products meet the highest quality and safety standards.
The UK manufacturing sector contributes over £200 billion annually and provides 2.6 million jobs. Snorkel, at its Vigo Centre in the North East, employs over 200 people, retaining essential skills and supporting the local community. We assemble single components, not kits, maintaining strict quality controls.
As members of the North East Chamber of Commerce, North East Automotive Alliance, and Hire Association Europe, Snorkel is dedicated to responsible and sustainable business practices, including offsetting net zero goals and investing in its workforce through the apprentice levy.
Snorkel continues to invest in the North East, focusing on growth and innovation. Its products are shipped worldwide.
