Horizon Works links up with North East Automotive Alliance to offer specialist event support

B2B marketing company Horizon Works is powering up its support for the automotive sector in the coming weeks, ahead of the North East Automotive Expo in Sunderland on September 29.

Horizon Works, which is based at Northumberland Business Park near Cramlington, Northumberland, will be helping companies maximise on the opportunities offered by the event, by delivering a workshop with the NEAA and Supply Chain North East on September 6.

The company has also been announced as Event Guide Sponsor for the annual expo, which is organised by the North East Automotive Alliance (NEAA) and will take place at The Beacon Of Light.

The ‘Maximising Your Presence at the North East Automotive Expo’ workshop, at Horizon Works’ event space on Northumberland Business Park, will provide practical guidance on event planning, lead generation, social media tactics and event content, and will give expo exhibitors the chance to practice and refine their pitches before the event.

The workshop will also help businesses to enhance their pre- and post-event marketing activities.

Horizon Works supports innovators in complex industries and offers a wide range of integrated marketing services across strategy, PR, design and digital.

The company has a long track record of working with companies across the automotive sector and its supply chain, including Komatsu UK, Hyperdrive Innovation and Gestamp.

Horizon Works is a long-standing NEAA member and works with the organisation to support its member companies across a range of activities.

It has previously delivered workshops to NEAA members on event preparation, marketing strategy and tactics.

Now in its seventh year, the North East Automotive Expo is the NEAA’s flagship expo, and it is an industry highlight for companies operating within the region’s automotive supply chain.

Horizon Works has sponsored the North East Automotive Expo on several occasions and will be exhibiting at the event again this year.

Samantha Vassallo, managing director of Horizon Works, said: “We’re delighted to be further strengthening our support for the NEAA, its members and the SME community by sponsoring the North East Automotive Expo and delivering the ‘Maximising Your Presence at the North East Automotive Expo’ workshop.

“With increased investment and innovation, these are exciting times for North East England’s automotive industry.

“SMEs need to act now to build profile in the sector, make new connections and increase awareness of the solutions they can offer to OEMs and the supply chain.

“We’re excited to be helping business do just that and we are proud to be part of the expo, which is a flagship event for both the North East and the wider UK’s automotive industry.”

Paul Butler, CEO of the NEAA, said: “Thanks to Horizon Works and their continued support for the North East Automotive Expo, we are able to build on its success year on year.

“We are pleased to be able to offer enhanced support to our SME exhibitors, many who are new to the sector and exhibiting at events. The ‘Maximising Your Presence at the North East Automotive Expo’ workshop will enable them to take away some vital information on how best to prepare for the event and ensure the opportunity is maximised.”

In 2021, Supply Chain North East launched its Back to Business Basics Marketing for Automotive Programme: a marketing programme fully funded for eligible SMEs and delivered by the NEAA through Horizon Works.

Over the course of the year, Horizon Works delivered the programme to three cohorts of SMEs. The programme featured webinar sessions covering marketing basics and strategy, and one to one tailored support for participating businesses: this included public relations, strategy, design, social media and market research.

Horizon Works has been embedded into the manufacturing, engineering, energy, tech and life sciences sectors since the company’s inception in 2010.

The company, which provides marketing services to regional, national and global organisations, specialises in grasping complex technologies, products and services and translating this information into compelling messages and campaigns.

Horizon Works’ supports clients including: Koch Technology Solutions, part of the global Koch Engineered Solutions organisation; Hartlepool-based metal mesh manufacturer The Expanded Metal Company; water analysis technologies provider Palintest; economic regeneration company Advance Northumberland; and bespoke packaging solutions provider Taylor Packaging.

The NEAA was launched in March 2015 and has more than 300 cluster participants. It is the largest automotive cluster in the UK and one of the fastest-growing clusters across Europe.

Supply Chain North East is delivered by RTC North, Generator, North East Automotive Alliance (NEAA) and North East Process Industry Cluster (NEPIC). It has brought together these four key partners to work with over 800 businesses in the North East LEP region, supporting them to identify opportunities in new and existing markets.

The ‘Maximising Your Presence at the North East Automotive Expo’ workshop will take place from 9.30am to 12.30pm on September 6, 2022 at Horizon Works, 14 Berrymoor Court, Northumberland Business Park, Cramlington, NE23 7RZ.
